Dan Dan Noodles
A Chengdu street-stall classic: thin wheat noodles tossed in a lush sauce of sesame paste, chili oil, and pickled mustard greens, topped with savory pork crumbles. Myrcene's earthy warmth amplifies the sesame depth.
Ingredients
- 12 oz thin wheat noodles or fresh ramen
- 4 oz ground pork
- 2 tbsp Chinese sesame paste (zhīmajiàng)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Chinkiang black vinegar
- 2 tbsp chili oil with sediment
- 1 tsp cannabis-infused sesame oil
- 2 tbsp Yibin sui mi ya cai (preserved mustard greens)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Chopped peanuts, green onions, Sichuan pepper
How to make it
- 1
Mix sesame paste, soy sauce, vinegar, chili oil, and cannabis sesame oil in bowls.
- 2
Boil noodles until just tender. Reserve ½ cup cooking water.
- 3
Meanwhile, brown pork in a wok with garlic and preserved greens until crispy.
- 4
Drain noodles, toss into the sauce bowls. Add a splash of noodle water.
- 5
Top with pork crumbles, chopped peanuts, green onions, and Sichuan pepper.
- 6
Toss well at the table before eating.
Cooking tips
- Use Chinese sesame paste, not tahini — the roast level is different.
- The noodle water is the secret: it emulsifies the sauce.
- Add a soft-boiled egg for extra richness.

Why this pairing works
Myrcene — in your strain and on your plate
Myrcene is the most common terpene in cannabis and the engine behind many indica-style sedating effects. Earthy and herbaceous, it loves rich, slow-cooked, comforting foods.
