Citrus-Glazed Salmon with Cannabis Butter
A bright, sunny salmon fillet finished with a honey-citrus glaze and a pat of melting infused butter. The limonene in your strain doubles down on the citrus, making every bite sing.
Ingredients
- 4 (6 oz) salmon fillets, skin on
- 2 tbsp cannabis-infused butter (decarbed, ~5mg THC per tbsp)
- 2 tbsp regular unsalted butter
- 3 tbsp honey
- Zest and juice of 2 lemons
- Zest and juice of 1 orange
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- Fresh dill and microgreens, to garnish
How to make it
- 1
Pat salmon dry, season generously with salt and pepper, and rest at room temperature for 10 minutes.
- 2
In a small saucepan, whisk together honey, lemon and orange juice and zest, garlic, and Dijon. Simmer 3–4 minutes until slightly syrupy.
- 3
Heat regular butter in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Place salmon skin-side down and sear undisturbed for 4 minutes.
- 4
Brush half the citrus glaze over the fillets, then transfer the skillet to a 400°F (200°C) oven for 5–6 minutes until just opaque.
- 5
Remove from oven and immediately top each fillet with cannabis-infused butter so it melts gently—do not return to high heat.
- 6
Spoon the remaining glaze over the salmon, garnish with dill and microgreens, and serve right away.
Cooking tips
- Add the infused butter only after pulling the pan off the heat—high temperatures degrade THC.
- Use a sativa-leaning, limonene-dominant strain for the butter to amplify the citrus.
- Pair with a chilled white wine or grapefruit spritz to round out the brightness.

Why this pairing works
Limonene — in your strain and on your plate
The brightest terpene on our list, limonene is the citrus engine behind sativa-leaning, mood-elevating strains. It pairs naturally with bright, acidic dishes and works beautifully as a daytime, social terpene.
